Explore our golf wedge collection, designed to help you make precise shots when every inch counts. There are moments on the course when a golf wedge is your best option for the perfect shot. Sand wedges are crucial when you’re in a bunker and need that higher loft. For shots requiring an even steeper trajectory, lob wedges are a must-have. Gap wedges bridge the distance between your sand and pitching wedges, providing the ideal range for those challenging, in-between shots. Lastly, the pitching wedge is perfect for shots near the green, helping you smoothly transition from the fairway. Just like drivers and putters, wedges are a key part of any serious golfer's toolkit.

When you’re shopping for golf wedge sets, it’s important to think about your playing style and the types of shots you face most often. Here are some friendly tips to guide you in making the best choice:
Assess your gaps: Make sure your wedge lofts fill the distance gaps in your bag, so you’re never left guessing on approach shots.
Choose the right grinds: Different sole grinds work better for various swing types and turf conditions. Our team can help you select the grind that matches your game.
Consider full sets: Many players benefit from carrying all four main types of wedges golf-pitching, gap, sand, and lob-to cover every shot around the green.
Try before you buy: If you’re local, visit our Golf Store to test different models and find the best fit for your swing.
Our experts recommend starting with the basics: identify the yardages you need to cover, and select wedge lofts that create even spacing between your clubs. Pay attention to the significance of bounce and grind, as these characteristics greatly influence the club's interaction with turf and sand. If you’re a newer player, the best golf wedges for beginners are often those with a wider sole and more forgiveness, helping you build confidence and consistency. Keep in mind that the appropriate wedge can significantly enhance your scoring skills.
Buying the right golf wedges starts with understanding your needs and preferences. Here’s how we assist you throughout the process:
Evaluate your current wedge setup and identify any gaps in distance or performance.
Think about how many wedges you'd like to bring along—most players typically go with three or four!
Align lofts and bounces with your swing and the frequently played conditions.
Select a brand and model that instills confidence and comfort at the location.

There are four main types of golf wedges that every golfer should know about: the pitching wedge, gap wedge, sand wedge, and lob wedge. Each one has its own special purpose on the course, making them essential for improving your wedge game. Each has its unique purpose that can help elevate your game!
You'll find pitching, gap, sand, and lob wedges available. Choose based on your most common yardages, the types of shots you play, and the turf conditions at your course.
Higher lofts produce higher, shorter shots with more spin, while lower lofts offer longer, lower shots.
A pitching wedge usually features a loft of 44–48 degrees, making it perfect for those full approach shots and those delicate chips around the green.
A sand wedge has a loft of 54–58 degrees and is designed for bunker play and shots from soft lies.
The main differences are loft, bounce, and grind, which affect distance, trajectory, and how the club interacts with the turf or sand.
A gap wedge serves to bridge the distance between your pitching and sand wedge, usually measuring around 50–52 degrees.
A lob wedge features the highest loft, ranging from 58 to 62 degrees, making it ideal for high, soft shots over hazards or from tight lies.
Bounce helps prevent digging into the turf or sand. Select bounce based on your swing type and typical course conditions.
No, you don’t have to carry all four, but having a complete set gives you more options for every shot.
Most quality golf wedges range from $170 to $230.
The cost of a golf wedge is typically between $170 and $230.

Great shoes - great company.
These guys are super helpful. This is my favorite club in the bag now.
Came in for a driver fitting because I wanted to see what working with a smaller shop was like. Prices for new driver matched big store prices but the individual customer service is exceptional! After approximately 160 swings I found my new driver! Thanks Embers!!
Awesome shirt and it’s really good quality and it fits true to size. They were actually out of the size i ordered and messaged me the first thing the next day with options and i ended up getting a size larger and im glad that i did because it fits perfectly. You know sometimes golf shirts run big so you have to size down, you definitely don’t with this one so order whatever size is right for you.
Moved from a stiff to regular and am getting the clubface square consistently!!
you guys don't get any better
amazing product
The shaft I ordered originally didn't fit me and the guys at Embers swapped it out for me with no issues. Great customer service
This golf shop is amazing. They have everything you can possibly think about and more and as far as their technicians, they know a lot and they know exactly what they’re doing as far as Club work and just info and knowledge that they have.
Embesr golf delivers amazing customer service and super quality work, when it comes to putting together golf clubs. I'm living in MD, so for me to order golf clubs in CO only speaks to how good they are at Embers golf at what they are doing
Great deal. Great club. Quick shipping. Very pleased.
Getting fitted for the 2nd time at Embers. Tim is very knowledgeable and will take the time to work with you. I appreciate that both times he didn't try to upsell or force me to go into custom shafts for both irons and driver, since he tested and didn't think it was worth the money for marginal improvements or that it would even improve my strikes.
Love the product. This store is awesome
Awesome deal, quick shipping, great communication. Embers rocks!
Service was Top Tier! Shout out to Rachelle fir her help!
