The OPTM LS model is designed for faster players seeking maximum speed and control in a compact, low spin clubhead. Using an advanced expertise and understanding of club inertia, Cobra engineers have maximized MOI and a lesser known but critical stability measurement called POI to deliver our most forgiving and accurate LS model ever. THE FIRST DRIVERS TO OPTIMIZE POI FOR STRAIGHTER MISS-HITS
Until now, MOI has been the primary measurement companies focus on to optimize club stability and forgiveness. Cobra is the first company to talk about a lesser known measurement called POI, which accounts for a club rotation across all three axes (MOI, Y (horizontal), MOI, X (vertical) and MOI, Z (toe up or down) that occurs during off-center hits). The OPTM drivers are the first to optimize both MOI and POI through strategic weight placement and shaping to create a super driver - one that dramatically reduces gear affect to deliver up to 23% tighter dispersion for longer and straighter off-center shots.
LS IMPROVEMENTS VS LAST GEN
By optimizing POI in a compact head shape, the OPTM LS model is more forgiving and more accurate than last generation DS-ADAPT LS. Using supercomputing and A.I. methods, Cobra engineers have created a design harmony that is hard to achieve by maximizing speed and accuracy through a reduction in POI. The result is a dramatic reduction in side spin on off-center hits for straighter and more accurate drives that start and end up closer to your target line.
RESHAPED FOR FORGIVENESS
To optimize MOI and POI, the mass is distributed more symmetrically around the center of gravity and across the 3 key axes and tightened around the CG to minimize the clubs diagonal resistance to rotation. Using A.I. driven simulation tools, Cobra engineers have studied millions of impact locations to gain an expert understanding of gear effect and how to determine the optimal location of the metal/mass, and movable weights in each model.
FUTUREFIT33 ADJUSTABLE HOSEL
FutureFit33 features 33 unique loft & lie settings to optimize your ball flight, minimize your miss, and maximize your distance. Loft and lie can be adjusted by +/-2 degrees in any direction, allowing for the ultimate fine-tuned, fitting customization, while the innovative SMARTPAD design enables the face angle to remain square regardless of the setting.
ADJUSTABLE WEIGHTING
The OPTM LS driver features in advanced descending weight system with 3 adjustable weights (11g, 7g, 3g) that can each be moved in the back (neutral flight), heel (draw-biased flight) or toe (fade-biased flight) positions to tune trajectory control.
H.O.T. FACE TECHNOLOGY
A forged face insert with H.O.T. Face technology delivers improved face flex for more robust distance and ball speeds on and around the center of the face.
